June Lake Motel has been a staple lodging establishment in June Lake, California since the 1950’s. It originally consisted of a single building with 14 guestrooms and Manager’s quarters. In 1973, a second wing was constructed, adding a residence unit, business office, and 3 additional rooms. It has always been owned and operated by local families through its 70+ years of business.
The Curiel family purchased the June Lake Motel in February 2026, after living in June Lake for 33 years. We moved here from Guadalajara, Mexico, in search of a better life for ourselves and our children—Luis, Janet, and Esmeralda.
We began working at the motel in 1994 and have worked with two different owners over the years. In 2010, Emma and Luis became U.S. citizens, fulfilling their dream of living the American dream.
In 2014, we became the owners of the June Lake General Store, our local market. Our family is deeply rooted in the June Lake community, and we look forward to our guests experiencing everything June Lake has to offer. Many of our rooms are pet-friendly, so your furry family members are always welcome.
Our family lives and works on-site, and we are dedicated to making your stay feel like a home away from home. We look forward to welcoming you to June Lake.
